WHAT EQUIPMENT IS USED?

  • Top Knotch Plumbing is your local blocked drain specialist. Armed with our Jet Rodder, which is a high pressure water jetting system, we can unblock and clean drains safely and efficiently. Our Jett Rodder can also pressure clean concrete providing a chemical free, environmentally friendly solution.

  • We also utilise a closed circuit television, CCV pipe inspection camera, used to locate the cause of a blocked drain. This is a state of the art camera and is extremely reliable at locating recurring blockages, providing a full plumbing inspection. Not only can we see the cause of the blockage, we can find the location, depth and degree of the damage or blockage in the pipe, therefore determining if it needs to be repaired or replaced. This enables us to provide a complete drain inspection and develop a solution more efficiently and replace broken or damaged pipes with minimal mess, charge and inconvenience.

WHY DO MY DRAINS GET BLOCKED UP?

  • Most bathroom drain clogs result when dirt, skin flakes, and especially hair binds to soap scum on the walls of drain pipes. Over time, this gunk accumulates and reduces water flow. An Electric Eel works by punching a hole through a blockage with a coiled cable. This often gets the pipe flowing again. However, because it is unable to clean out all of the debris right to the edges of the pipe, the drain usually blocks up again in a very short period of time when using this method. That is why Top Knotch Plumbing only utilises the most effective and efficient state of the art equipment available on the market today.

  • Because a Jet Rod uses high pressure water, it blasts through the blockage as well as scrubs the walls of the drain pipe, making it like a newly installed pipe again, ensuring a long lasting clean. This means we can get the job done more efficiently when using this method, saving you money in the long run.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A QUOTE?

  • We provide obligation FREE Quotes, meaning you know how much you will be charged upfront. Don't hesitate to contact us, no job is too big or too small for Top Knotch Plumbing.

WE HAVE NO HOT WATER, WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE?

  • Although this can be caused by a number of things, it is likely that your solar or electric hot water unit needs a service or the tempering valve may be broken and may need to be replaced.

WHY DOES MY TAP DRIP?

  • Usually when a tap is dripping the problem is that the internal mechanisms need to be rebuilt or replaced. Often people turn off their taps with more force than is required and this will cause the washer to get worn out much faster than usual. If a tap has been left to drip or run slightly for too long, this can cause wear to the sealing face of the tap set which would require grinding back to a sound surface. It is best to get onto drips as soon as possible so the problem doesn’t get worse.
